Water is a fundamental element in the mining industry, especially in the concentrator plants, which together with the ore form the pulp to be fed to the grinding and flotation processes carried out under alkaline conditions, using lime in the form of slurry. After flotation, water is separated of the concentrate and the tailings in the thickeners to return to the milling.
